In a Vase on Monday: This morning in my garden.

Here I am with my second attempt to display what is growing in my garden by joining in with others for In a Vase on Monday.

DSCN1546

This arrangement consists of blossoms plucked from my garden this morning: Allium christophii ‘Star of Persia,’ unidentified pink peony, Clematis ‘General Sikorski,’ Scabiosa columbaria ‘Butterfly Blue,’ Spirea ‘Anthony Waterer,’ Spirea bumalda ‘Goldmound,’ pink Knock Out roses, and Heuchera villosa ‘Circus.’

DSCN1548The vase is Waterford chrystal.

I have enjoyed using Clematis in my vases, John, and look forward to having some of the larger ones to include later – I have GS but he is not ready to flower yet. I love the different selection of pinks, and using the heuchera flowers is such a good idea. Thanks for joining us again, John.

John, you really have some nice blooms. I have never tried using clematis in a vase but will follow your lead and give it a try. susie

Interesting that several folks have commented on including clematis in a vase. Confession: this is the first time I have done so.

That Allium is spectacular in a vase and I’m envious of everyone who can grow peonies.
