In a Vase on Monday : 8/25/2014

“My arranger” has brought out all of her Ikebana training to help me put together flowers and foliage from our garden for this week’s offering for In a Vase on Monday.

DSCN1902

The foliage is from an unnamed hosta, Deutzia gracilis ‘Chardonnay Pearls,’ and Aucuba japonica ‘Mr. Goldstrike.’ The flowers are Leucanthemum x superbum ‘Becky,’ Encore azalea ‘Autumn Moonlight,’ and lantana. The container is a 7″ Japanese Kenzan flower arranger.

The gold of the lantana echoes the center of the Becky daisies. The three white stones provide balance.

Let me recommend that you click on In a Vase on Monday to visit the delightful postings of Cathy, the originator of this meme. I do hope she will not be disappointed by this offering.

John – I have to apologise. For some reason I have not been alerted to the fact that you have been posting a vase on Monday although you have linked from your post. Perhaps you need to ensure you link to the specific vase post and not just the blog? And a comment on mine with a link to yours would bring more people to look at yours too. I must have missed lots of vases – so sorry! 😦
