In a Vase on Monday: Valentine Remembrance

I try to remember special events during the year by giving my Arranger a dozen yellow roses…birthdays, anniversaries, and of course Valentine’s Day. We greet each other on those occasions with an appropriate card and small gift. This year was no different; I was able to find a nice bouquet of yellow roses to go with the box of chocolates (heart shaped, of course), and she gave me one of my favorites: Reese’s minis. I think we understand each other pretty well.

The roses didn’t come from my garden to fit in with the suggestions of Cathy at Rambling in the Garden, but I think she will understand. Please visit her to see what others are putting in their vases this day.

Far be it from me to suggest a vase on Monday should come between you and the Arranger, John! It’s good to show you care…

Nice roses. I got a load of manure which is great but not quite so romantic.

What beautiful roses John – it is nice to know that you and the Arranger like to celebrate Valentine’s Day. I think I am with you on the chocolates – we always look forward to those on a visit to the States!

  10. So pretty and bright! It is wonderful to know exactly how to make a loved one happy. Flowers and chocolate make V’day a favorite holiday to get one through the last stretch of winter 😉
