Thanks, John. I am sure there will plenty for you if they are as prolific in your area as ours. It’s difficult to walk even a few yards without seeing sweet gum balls.

Oh yes, I know those sweetgum seed balls well. My parents had a sweetgum in their front yard. They do make good projectiles for childrens’ mock battles.

I’m told that a ring of sweet gum balls around a hosta will protect it from slugs. Maybe I’ll try it this year.
