The color for this week’s vase comes from two newly planted African violets. In the past our home has been full of African violets, but for now forgotten reasons they disappeared. With all the gray, wet and cold days we have experienced, I think my Arranger was touched by the beauty of these as we shopped in our local garden center. With nothing new from outside to include this week, the choice of these inside plants seemed natural.
Please visit Cathy at Rambling in the Garden, the originator of this meme, to see what she and others are displaying in their homes this week. Thank you, Cathy, for founding this idea.
I used to have a houseful of house plants too but they have all fallen by the wayside over the years once I had the time to develop my garden outside. Your new acquisitions look so pretty and you both must make sure you hang onto them so you can show them to us again next March when blooms in your garden are scarce…. 🙂 Thanks for sharing

A perfect choice for color on these cold, still winter days….love the placement against the hydrangea picture.

Very nice, and a reminder that I haven’t had any African violets for a while either…

These are so lovely – I can understand why your Arranger felt the need for some indoor blooms to brighten your very bad winter.

Great color. I’m on the list for a friend’s next ‘extra’ plant, I hope it looks half as good as yours!

Thanks. Enjoy your new plant. My grandmother used to start them by potting a leaf.

Lovely colour. African violets are always a delight.
Are those Mahonia buds on your header?
