Thank you, Jason. The shrub is ‘Red Mill’ Pieris japonica. Its new growth is “red” and quite lovely.

I have never seen such a large Pieri japonica!! They are obviously better performers in your climate.

this one may even get larger. The new foliage is red, which I hope to include in a future post.
