Weekly Photo Challenge: Inspiration

The theme for this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge is INSPIRATION.

Inspiration about family began for me with my Grandfather Shannon. He modeled the importance of family and how to treat all family members…including his in-laws in all generations…with care and consideration. How compelling is it that we pass on these values from generation to generation. I am uplifted by the commitment of my own children to raise their children…my wonderful grandchildren…to be people of character and integrity. This photograph…from my daughter’s home…captures the ideals for which they are striving:

John Viccellio retired after 24 years in the U. S. Navy and began to dig into gardening when he could finally land in one place. He completed the Master Gardener course in 1992 and has since designed and constructed two of his own gardens. He wrote a monthly garden column for ten years and was a regular contributor to Carolina Gardener magazine. John published his first book, Guess What's in My Garden!, in 2014. He lives in a retirement community in Matthews, NC.
