In a Vase on Monday: Overhead

Another Monday and time for In a Vase on Monday, sponsored by Cathy at Rambling in the Garden. This week my Arranger suggested putting together an arrangement that would be best viewed from above.

She based her idea around the foliage of a hydrangea and added the colorful annual lantana and the purple blossoms of variegated liriope.

She placed them in a cut glass bowl that once belonged to her grandmother. The Waterford heart was added for obvious reasons.

I am grateful to my friend Anna Barratt who is visiting us and took the overhead shot of our vase. Anna is a Culinary graduate, Chocolatier and avid photographer. Visit her website Henrianna Sweets to see some of her delicious recipes.

Please visit Cathy at Rambling in the Garden to see what she and others have put in their vases this week.

Oh so pretty – I would welcome some wallpaper printed with these blooms…now, please, as I know I will struggle to find a paper that I like for our bedroom which I shall shortly be redecorating… 😉 Thanks for sharing

  3. That’s really pretty. I’ve never thought to cut lantana for bouquets. Is there a floral frog in the bowl holding the flowers and foliage in place?
