The crape myrtles are finished, but there are buds galore on the camellias, which should be plentiful for next month’s offering. Thank you, Cathy. The muhly grass has been one of the plants I “discoverd” when we moved to NC. Now it’s fairly widely used…even by the road beautification folks.

Looks like summer, but I think that’s about to change. Our forcast for Sunday night is 38 degrees and Monday night is 36. We might get frost!

Stunning! You have so many wonderful flowers in your garden. I think we are all trying to extend the season and there are so many plants that can cope with lower sunlight and temperatures. Love your Muhly grass, it isn’t hardy here, but then If I had mine in a pot, it could come inside couldn’t it?!”

Thanks, Pauline. I have not heard of anyone growing muhly in pots for colder climates, but it just might be worth the effort if you have convenient place for it.

So many lovelies! I have a Pink Muhle grass in a planter. It’s alive, but not doing much. It is my eternal struggle with finding enough sun in my shady yard. Going through major editing right now, to make space for new things. Wish me luck – that one is definitely worth finding a spot for…
