Garden Bloggers’ Foliage Day: October 2015

Today is Garden Bloggers’ Foliage Day, when Christina at My Hesperides Garden asks us to share views of foliage in our gardens.

Her suggestion is a particularly good one at this time of year as my flowering plants are slowing down. The foliage, however, remains to bring color and texture to the garden.

You can run your mouse over the photographs for plant identification.

Please visit Christina at My Hesperides Garden to see her offering of foliage and that of others participating in this meme.

Mostly evergreens too and not autumn colour as I sort of expected. I like the Pittosporum, I’ve not seen the variegated form here. Thanks for joining GBFD with a lovely collection of plants.

Thank you, Elizabeth. I have been trying different ways of including photos in my posts; I may do a blog with the same photos presented in different formats and ask readers to give me their reactions. I know other gardeners like to see pictures of each others gardens, but sometimes I feel like I have included too many photos, attention spans being so variable.

I enjoy reading many blogs, and I like the ones that include many photos. I think it brings a good level of interest. Of course, the format will vary depending on the purpose of the post. Your bloomsday/foliage day posts deserve many – in my opinion!

Lot’s of lovely foliage in your garden, this time of year makes me realise how important it is when the flowers are few and far between. I like your Loropetalum very much and don’t think I’ve seen it for sale here.
