Well, it’s Monday, time for another Vase. The rain and cold temperatures of the past week have left me with little options for this week’s vase. However, there is a bit of color in the garden today that will bear sharing.
My Candytuft (Iberis sempervirens) is awash in blooms, despite the rain and cold. It is unseasonably early, yes, but most welcome to be available to be featured in today’s vase. I added some violas and pansies, some of the very few that are not weatherbeaten right now, and the ever lovely Autumn fern (Dryopteris erythrosora).
It is a simple arrangement in a flowered china vase from Germany. My Arranger added the brass duck as a bit of whimsy.
Sometimes I do, indeed, know what it feels like to be a “duck out of water.”
Let me invite you to visit Cathy at Rambling in the Garden to see what she and others participating in this meme are sharing from their gardens this week.
Cute duck. My candy tuft is blooming, too.

Love those crisp white flowers. Really make me feel like Spring is on the way. The only thing blooming here is snow but I did manage to pull something together.

Lovely blue pansies there John – I like them better without a ‘blotch’, like these. Great contrast with the candytuft
