Weekly Photo Challenge: Vibrant

The theme of this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge is VIBRANT.

The vibrant colors of this Japanese Iris make it seem to be floating above its greenery.

  3. Love this–I used an iris (a photo my husband took) for the cover of my first novel.

  5. Vibrant, for sure! I don’t grow many irises, this makes me wonder why.

I had a dozen or so varieties in my Chapel Hill garden…planted right in the edge of a lake and they thrived obviously liking the wet feet. A friend had given me the lot. I don’t have that kind of place now.

What a stunning Iris!! They are such tall, strong flowers with such character 🙂 I love them and have a few in my garden as well 🙂 Truth be known, I have a rule in my garden…if you stand up strong and tall on your own, you can stay, if you need a wire fence or string to hold you up you must not be allowed to stay hahah! 🙂 Thus I have many Irises, Tulips, and other such lovelies in my menagerie. Thank you for sharing your beauty 🙂
