In a Vase on Monday: A New Start

It’s time for In a Vase on Monday; I have found only a few things from the garden today to share with you. This is a special (to me) post as it represents the start of my third year of blogging. Wow! Where has the time gone?

This humble offering came close to taking every presentable flower in the garden. I see lots of hope for the future, but this week I am relying on the candytuft and some of the recovering pansies. My Arranger selected the Japanese incense containers and the mirror.

Two years of blogging have given me so much enjoyment: sharing what is happening in my garden, reporting on things I see around town, meeting other writers/photographers from around the world wide bloggosphere, and receiving so much encouragement from you, my readers. A special plus has been the invitations to participate in weekly or monthly posts on various topics. One of those memes is this In a Vase on Monday. Let me invite you to visit Cathy at Rambling in the Garden who is the originator of this weekly showing of garden plants. See what she and others are sharing this week.

Congratulations John, it is always a pleasure to read what you have been doing in your garden and your thoughts about what you see. Your vase is lovely and I’m sure it is even more appreciated because it is all that you have for the moment.

Welldone for two years of blogging – I think most us can’t really anticipate in advance just how much joy there is to be had from blogging. Your pansies look lovely in this oriental vase and use of the mirror is inspired

This is a lovely arrangement John, and befitting an anniversary celebration too. I really like all the different elements – not just the flowers. The mirror is such a good idea…. I would love to try that out some time too. Have a great third year of blogging!
