The theme of this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge is LIFE IMITATES ART.
In keeping with one of the originator’s suggestions, here is a newer version of an old photo: The Phrog Philarmonia, which has been playing in my garden for a number of years.
The Old (also the cover of my eBook Guess What’s in My Garden!):

The New:

And the band played on!

I’d say they were a striking feature, but they seem to lack a percussionist! 🙂

I have added a percussionist and a floutist since the picture was taken. I’m on the lookout for a trumpeter.

Striking indeed, then. And that should be a blast!

These came from numerous sources…many of which I happened upon in our travels. Some were quite expensive; others were in the cheap sale section.

To the tune of “Hazy Shade of Winter”?

That was a great Nat King Cole song of my youth. They actually prefer Mozart and Louis Armstrong.

We have two frogs like that playing a tune in our garden! They’re great fun. Unfortunately both of them lost their eyes – which fell out!

I have a non-musical frog who wields a hoe; he has lost an eye too. Maybe that’s why we have so much trouble with rabbits.
