Today is a double whammy! It’s In a Vase on Monday and it’s Garden Bloggers’ Foliage Day. Therefore I feel compelled to offer a double feature…foliage in a vase.
(Roll the mouse over the photos below for their identification.)
The container and the incense burner are from our collection of blue and white items we obtained in Japan.
Please join Cathy at Rambling in the Garden to see what she and so many others are sharing in their vases today.
Also, please visit Christina at My Hesperides Garden to see her foliage presentation and that of others who join in this meme.
Perfect reply to the problem of two memes on one day John. It just proves how good foliage can look on its own without any flowers in the garden or in a vase. Thanks for joining GBFD.

Nice foliage display. After many years of disparaging Gold Dust Aucuba, I now miss it. So nice to see some again – have you noticed the English ladies call it Spotted Laurel?

That’s the first time I’ve heard it called Spotted Laurel. This one is “Mr. Goldstrike.”

A great double, John, as the green-based foliage goes beautifully with the blue and white Japanese pot that you have used s a vase. Thanks for sharing
ps British ladies, please – not necessarily English…!

Thanks, Cathy. Despite my Italian last name, a good number of my ancestors came from England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales. You can be sure that I know the difference.

You put me to shame. Might have to dump those dried up hydrangeas from last summer and pick something fresh in your honor. Cheers —
