In a Vase on Monday: Face to Face

Please note that this is a repeat of an earlier post. I have no idea why it was deleted from my blog, but I thought I would repeat it for the record.

Once again it’s time for In a Vase on Monday, hosted by Cathy at Rambling in the Garden. Each week she invites us to select something from the garden and share in a vase. It is certainly a welcome encouragement to bring garden lovelies into the house.

I have a number of ‘Tete-a-Tete’ daffodils in bloom, and my Arranger suggested (something I have learned to follow…always) to make them the stars this week. With Easter approaching, she also recommended a seasonal theme to go along with the daffodils.

IMG_0325My Arranger has a particularly strong affection for little rabbits. I’m glad the ones she likes are made of pottery or concrete and not the huechera-eating, coneflower-eating, liriope-eating kind, which are prevalent but not at all welcome in my garden. The inanimate ones I can live with. These fall into the “cute” category.

You will just have to guess what might be in the egg. I don’t dare ask.

IMG_0328‘Tete-a-Tete’ daffodils have been a favorite since I was first introduced to them fifteen or so years ago. They reliably return…early… and multiply well. I am partial to their soft yellow color.

Please visit Cathy at Rambling in the Garden to see what vases are being shared with us this week.
