The theme of this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge is NOSTALGIA.
Nostalgia is a state of mind, remembering something or someone in the past that brings joy and peace. It’s fun to look back and remember.
I took this photo in the spring of 1963 near Lake Isnik in Turkey. The wild flowers were going wild and were so extraordinary, so beautiful, so plentiful. We stopped on the side of the road, and my Arranger gathered a handful of colorful flowers. She’s been in love with them ever since.
Wouldn’t it be fun to go back and relive the moment?
Alas! Impossible!

What a great photograph! I assume you digitized it, something I need to do with some of our old family pictures. I would so love to be in Turkey for the spring wildflowers.

It was digitized. I too have too many older photos that need that. AND…I wish I had been more aware of my natural surroundings when we lived in Turkey.

Beautiful picture, absolutely love the glasses. Several years back when our family was splitting up my great grand parents estate I got this beautiful antique library table. Inside the drawer was a pair of my great grand mothers cat eye glasses. Thank you for this picture, it brought me back.
