It’s mid October and time to share another Vase on Monday, sponsored by Cathy Rambling in the Garden. The perennials in the garden are moving quickly now to shed their colorful glory, but it’s nice to be able still to share ‘Endless Summer’ hydrangeas and ‘Autumn Twist’ Encore azaleas.
The vase is a Japanese Kenzan flower arranger, which my Arranger has used on several occasions. The ivory netsuke figure was obtained during the time we lived in Tokyo, oh so many years ago.
Let me invite you to visit Cathy Rambling in the Garden to see her beautiful vase this week and those of others who participate in this meme.
Just lovely. Colors match so well.

Thank you, Susie. Cutting back on things as I get older doesn’t leave much in bloom right now. I am thankful for these.

The Asters are done, the very small autumn crocus are still with me, the larger gone, stubborn summer phlox feed a bee here or there, pincushions share a bloom or two but it is my mums that are still going strong. We have not yet had a frost, odd that. It’s been unusually warm.

A later frost is always welcome; it keeps the bees around and spirits up.
