Last week we highlighted flowers that were winding down in the garden; this week I am delighted to showcase the first blossoms of the season from Camellia sasanqua ‘Our Linda.’
‘Our Linda’ was a gift from David Parks of Camellia Forest Nursery several years ago, and it has been a beautiful and abundant bloomer over the years.
In a Vase on Monday is hosted by Cathy at Rambling in the Garden. Let me invite you to visit her site to see what she and others are sharing from their gardens this week.
Such a pretty pink – and what gloriously glossy leaves! Thanks for sharing John

It is so good to see your camellias John!! They always seem so early to flower – mine are full of promise – heavy with buds – but it will be a few months yet before they flower so I am looking forward to enjoying lots of yours. J x

Gosh, camellia time already, is it?! What beauties they are. I just love the square-ish shape of the petals.

More springlike that autumnal! I’ve been inspired by seeing your Camellia sasanqua and have recently purchased a pure white one which I intend to keep in a large pot on the terrace.

Lovely to see your Camellias are coming into flower already John. What a beauty, and how brave of you to cut one of the first buds to open!

Thanks, Cathy. Actually, it was my Arranger who had the courage to clip off the camellias.
