Weekly Photo Challenge: PATH

The theme of this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge is PATH.

I built a number of paths in my previous garden in Chapel Hill. One of the roles for paths in a garden setting is that they can be used not only to move you from one place to another but to entice you to go there. Here are two paths that are among my favorites.

The spring blooms on the muscari draw your eyes along the path.

The pot alongside the curving path pulls your eye through the arbor covered with variegated weigela.

Gorgeous. You are right, one cannot help but wonder what treasures are to be found round the next corner. I also love the use of colour and texture to “paint” the picture. You are truly an artist.
