Weekly Photo Challenge: ATOP

The theme of this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge is ATOP.

Last June a Red Shouldered Hawk frequented our garden over a several day period. Here it is atop one of the bird feeders, looking to assert its position atop the local food chain.

    Wow! Great pic. I love how the hawk is looking down at the bird feeder like that’s it, that’s all they eat.
