Last June a Red Shouldered Hawk frequented our garden over a several day period. Here it is atop one of the bird feeders, looking to assert its position atop the local food chain.

I’m afraid you wouldn’t have many other birds there with this predator around.

Wow! Great pic. I love how the hawk is looking down at the bird feeder like that’s it, that’s all they eat.

Right, that hawk was looking for some meat to eat…not seeds.
