In a Vase on Monday: A Few of My Favorite Things

There are several passions that drive my everyday life, and I am combining two of them today in this week’s In a Vase on Monday…gardening and tennis.

The flowers are lavender asters, red zinnias, pink Encore azaleas, and white annual vinca that came from a windblown, chance seedling.

It’s not fancy, but it holds water and flowers. I guess that makes it a vase.

    I have never thought of using my tennis ball cans for a vase so you’ve opened my eyes to a whole new idea.

    Nice vase! I always enjoy your Monday vase. Here I am putting the garden to bed for the winter. Sedum autumnalis and emperor still looking good but everything else is pretty much finished.

    What a wonderful blend of shades – and those asters look SO pretty without having a contrasting centre. I am not a tennis player, John, but I do value the importance of exercise, so well done you for keeping on playing
