In a Vase on Monday: The Wandering Gardener

Since we sold our house at the end of April we have been wandering about until our new condo is ready for us to move in. We are currently house sitting for our daughter in South Carolina…a very wet South Carolina. I thought it might be nice to surprise her when she returns with a new pot of annuals to brighten her back yard.

It also gives me the opportunity to join Cathy at Rambling in the Garden, for In a Vase on Monday, a meme for which I have been absent for too long. Please visit Cathy and see her vase…and so many other lovely ones…this week.

  1. Oh your daughter will love it…it is hard being between places with no garden. When we finally sell and downsize, I know I will be lost for a while.

Oh, a real change…how did you feel about leaving your garden? Will you have any space for gardening at your new ‘condo’, a term I am not really familiar with?

That’s a lovely combination of blooms, it brightened up the corner. I hope you’ll still post about flowers and maybe, a garden in the future.

What a lovely idea for your daughter! I wonder if your new home will have a communal garden or perhaps a patio or balcony for pretty pots and containers?

  6. I love South Carolina! I was stationed there for a few years and came to love the state. This urn is so beautiful and am sure will be a welcome surprise for your daughter.
