After a long absence I am happy to rejoin the meme In a Vase on Monday, sponsored by Cathy at Rambling in the Garden. With no garden on a third-floor screened porch, I am left to enjoy such flowers as I can purchase locally.
Daffodils in bloom are assurances that spring has indeed come to North Carolina, and the annual cycle continues. I also appreciate the color they bring to my porch. Perhaps a glass of wine on a warm spring evening would add to the festive atmosphere.

Love daffodils! They say “Spring” to this transplanted East Coast gal.
In southern California, they bloom in Jan/Feb, which is VERY confusing to me. My “native” seasons are still from my birthplace, despite the fact I’ve lived longer in SoCal.

Thanks. Anne. Was surprised to find out that daffodils bloom in southern Cal. Thought they needed cold winters. They are a wonderful harbinger of spring.

Lovely! Glad you have a little space to put some flowers at least John, and keep in touch with the seasons. Best wishes for Spring to you and your wife.
