A Photo a Week Challenge: MOTHERS

Nancy Merrill’s challenge this week is certainly appropriate: MOTHERS.

Mothers’ Day is this Sunday and gives us a chance to honor and remember our mothers. I was torn between going back several generations to honor my grandmothers, my own mom, my wife (mother of my daughters), and down to the mother of my great-grandson. There were other options, as well, so…

Grandma and Memaw, the only picture I have of the two of them together. This captures their personalities so well: one dressed up with hat and pearls and the other with her stockings rolled down.
