John Viccellio retired after 24 years in the U. S. Navy and began to dig into gardening when he could finally land in one place. He completed the Master Gardener course in 1992 and has since designed and constructed two of his own gardens. He wrote a monthly garden column for ten years and was a regular contributor to Carolina Gardener magazine. John published his first book, Guess What's in My Garden!, in 2014.
He lives in a retirement community in Matthews, NC.

Oh how wonderful – I found your site! And yes, immediately I clicked “follow” – so here I am! Main reason for all this, I had to leave my beautiful UK garden behind and gardening here in South India on my very large terraces does not work out. Our heat is far too much. In the past 14 years we have spent a small fortune on plants etc., but everything died. So only a few houseplants now, so sad! But I will feast my e;yes on your pages. Thank you 🙂 🙂

Usually I start my morning like this while travelling. Basically all the places offering meals in Europe where I’ve been serving English breakfast and this is really the best option they are offering. More food and more nourishing elements.
