The theme of this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge is TRANSIENT.
I have usually understood the word to mean something or someone moving from one place or condition to another. What could be a better example than the water from the rains or springs, gathering in the hills above, then moving slowly or swiftly down a North Carolina mountain stream.

How true! I realized that I am always taking photos and videos of bodies of water. The movement, the sound, the rush, the power — a true model of transience. Delightful description.

Thanks. Unfortunately, it is up in the mountains, about two or three hours away. i get up there each year for our church’s men’s retreat.

Ooh, lovely! I bet that water is nice and cold… would love to dip my toes in it right now! (It’s hot here!)

I love this sound and seeing the water rushing by is so cooling even if I can’t touch it.
