The theme of this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge is ORNATE.
I recently spied a reproduction of a Well, Fargo & Company 19th century stagecoach on the streets of downtown Charlotte, NC. It was part of an Arts Festival celebration. The embellishments on this otherwise workhorse means of conveyance are indeed ornate.

We were offered an opportunity to go in and sit, but no horses were about for a real ride.

Impressive! Would love a jaunt around town in that buggy with a nice pair of well matched horses!

John, I saw one of these in San Francisco. I’m pretty sure they were excessively uncomfortable, especially as they were crammed with hot, mostly likely smelly, people.
